Water
The blackwater and graywater is directed to the land, providing nourishment to our olive, fig, and pine trees through irrigation and fertilization.

In promoting water conservation, we encourage guests to be mindful of their consumption. Our commitment is further demonstrated by the installation of open showers and compost toilets throughout the property.
Zero Waste
We engage in thoughtful practices of reconsidering, minimizing, repurposing, and recycling our waste, ensuring that it either contributes positively or has minimal environmental impact

All our food waste is composted providing us with rich compost that we use on the land.

Plastic waste: We use as little plastic as possible, purchasing as much as possible on reusable baskets or bags. We recycle the plastic we cannot avoid in the city of Lagos.

Other waste: We recycle as much as it is possible. Used batteries are discarded in recycling bins in Lagos.

Human waste: all the waste from the bio toilets are reused as compost.

We educate our guests with printed material about our philosophy to achieve a zero-waste impact on the environment.

In Cristaland, only biodegradable products are allowed.
Biodegradable products, unlike their non-biodegradable counterparts, have the remarkable ability to break down naturally into harmless substances, leaving no lasting impact on our ecosystems.
